Random Thoughts/Numbers of the Day

Actually they are not so random. While driving today, a mathematical thought crossed my mind. Wonder if anyone of you have come acrossed this. Check the following numbers:

1 x 1 = 0 + 1 = 1
2 x 2 = 1 + 3 = 4
3 x 3 = 4 + 5 = 9
4 x 4 = 9 + 7 = 16
5 x 5 = 16 + 9 = 25

Notice how the odd numbers in the middle column increases linearly? This means that the square of a number is equals to the square of the number before it plus a odd number X which is 2 more than the previous odd number. Hmmm... Not making much sense in words, formulas might make more sense...

X x X = (X - 1) x (X - 1) + ((X - 1) x 2 + 1)

And this sequence goes on and on...

13 x 13 = 144 + 25 = 169
14 x 14 = 169 + 27 = 196
15 x 15 = 196 + 29 = 225

And on...

31 x 31 = 900 + 61 = 961
32 x 32 = 961 + 63 = 1024
33 x 33 = 1024 + 65 = 1089

And on...

10395 x 10395 = 10394 x 10394 + 20789 = 108056025
10396 x 10396 = 108056025 + 20791 = 108076816
10397 x 10397 = 108076816 + 20793 = 108097609

I'm a mathematical genius! Where's my Nobel Prize?!?!

THIS CAN CURE CANCER!!!!

P.S. Entertaining people write entertaining and interesting stuff. Boring people write boring and mundane stuff. Insane people write crazy and nonsensical stuff. I'm the latter.

Hmmm... Didn't watch Beautiful Mind. John Nash is the lead character right?

And no, I'm not pulling a John Nash. I'm just a tad amused that I can deduce such a mathematical conundrum while driving. o_0

Who in the right mind will derive this while Driving? Haha, DeRIVING from driving. I wonder what goes on when ur Really focused on studying then. COol geeky stuffs tho!=)
