E Nomine

Finally back from Bangkok. Long anticipated return. Although it was only a 2 week trip, it seemed like ages. Partly because my package from Amazon.com has arrived at home and is waiting for me to rip it apart. American Psycho and E Nomine awaits me!

E what? E Nomine of Mitternacht (Midnight in German) fame. I'm probably still confusing the majority of you. I was first introduced to E Nomine's Mitternacht by my bro. Gothic, techno songs sang in German, what could possibly go wrong right? Hehe... And Mitternacht didn't fail to disappoint.

But for a long while my knowledge of E Nomine was just restricted to Mitternacht. Until one fine day, when I was really bored at work, and did a search for E Nomine on Youtube. And wow, their songs are all mind blowing. That was how I decided to order my E Nomine CD from Amazon.com. Can't seem to find it in any good/bad/mediocre/pathetic record stores in Singapore.

Currently playing on my blog now is Wolfen (Das Tier in Mir), absolutely love the boy soprano bit. Enjoy it while you can!

Familiar Faces in Unfamiliar Places

Once again, Thengz have a few random thoughts.

You know you have done too much travelling when every country you go, you start seeing familiar faces on total strangers.

And I seem to enjoy this un-noticed observer thing. I just sit around and watch. Not that I have alot of time to sit around and watch during the week. And not that I'm an un-noticed observer. I probably stick out like an albino penguin (wonder how that looks like).

Anyway, did you know that a Thai engineer probably earns only S$500 a month? Farking 'ell. Who the hell lives on S$500 a month! The world is just so unfair! Boy, am I glad I'm the one benefitting from this unfair world! Champagnes all round!

Blogger Gone Thai!

Just checked into the hotel in Thailand, logged into blogger, and realised that its all in Thai! Its a good thing I can remember where all the buttons are cause I know nuts about Thai.

Anyway, meeting Scruffy Ruffy for dinner later, wonder if he is any good with his Thai. Haha... Going to get some Thai food near some train station, sounds omnimous. Hope I don't get Bangkok Belly or Thai Tummy. o_O

Footie Joke

Ok, this might be a little late and some of you might already have heard this from me.

Have you heard? There's going to be a 3rd and 4th Play-offs for the Champions League this season. Its going to be held at Wembley. For some reasons, they are calling it the FA Cup Finals.

P.S. This joke is solely for footie fans. If you don't understand it, its ok.

P.P.S If you're a ManUre or Chelski fan, all I can say is HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Classic case of Schadenfreude...

Schadenfreude

The arrogant prick in class flunks his exams. The ex who said that you won't amount to anything slides down a slippery path in life. The team that always boast about their victories fail miserably in the hands of your favourite team. The high-flying company that turned down your job application goes bankrupt. All these incidents require only emotion: Schadenfreude.

Recently, I seem to have an obsession with Schadenfreude. I can't help but feel happy when certain people suffer. Man, I'm turning into an evil person.

But someone once said, To feel envy is human, to enjoy Schadenfreude is devilish. And boy, do I feel like the Devil now. Devil Tarot Card, and now Schadenfreude

Which Tarot Card are You?

I've got a way cool Tarot Card man... I'm the Devil...

You are The Devil

Materiality. Material Force. Material temptation; sometimes obsession

The Devil is often a great card for business success; hard work and ambition.

Perhaps the most misunderstood of all the major arcana, the Devil is not really "Satan" at all, but Pan the half-goat nature god and/or Dionysius. These are gods of pleasure and abandon, of wild behavior and unbridled desires. This is a card about ambitions; it is also synonymous with temptation and addiction. On the flip side, however, the card can be a warning to someone who is too restrained, someone who never allows themselves to get passionate or messy or wild - or ambitious. This, too, is a form of enslavement. As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist. The important thing is to remember that any chain is freely worn. In most cases, you are enslaved only because you allow it.

But something just isn't right. 'As a person, the Devil can stand for a man of money or erotic power, aggressive, controlling, or just persuasive. This is not to say a bad man, but certainly a powerful man who is hard to resist.'

Erotic power, aggressive, persuasive, powerful man and hard to resist? Liar, liar, pants on fire. Maybe its just my state of mind when I did this quiz...

Alone with Everybody

Been feeling like an empty shell lately. Seems like I'm going through the motions for everything. Nothing to look ahead to, and everything to look back on. Ok, maybe not nothing to look ahead to, but just nothing interesting to look forward to. Thats not to say that there are only interesting to look back on. Man... I'm going in loops here.

Must be the cause of listening too much iPod on the rides home. Makes me feel like I'm alone with everybody. Yeah, go ahead and sue me Richard Ashcroft. But you know what I mean, the spaced out in a crowd look that we are all familiar with. All alone in a sea of people. How ironic.
