Hot, Woozy, Nauseous Feeling in Hong Kong

It has only been slightly more than a day spent in Hong Kong and I already start feeling hot, woozy and nauseous. I suspect that Hong Kong has made me pregnant. I had a very sleepless first night. Freaking air-con is way too noisy and if I turn the air-con off, it is too stuffy. You know all the apartments you see in Hong Kong drama series? Well, my apartment is even smaller than those.

Talking about Hong Kong drama series, after touching down in Hong Kong yesterday, I felt as if I have walked into a Cantonese drama series, everyone was speaking Cantonese. I was even half expecting Chow Yun Fatt to pop out from the corner and start shooting at the baddies behind me. Haha...

Been a little lazy to take photos, so that have to wait. Feel like vomiting now... Ciao for now...

A Piece of Singapore History

I've struck gold this time. Or maybe i should say, I've struck a dime this time. I was looking at some of my coins just now and look what I found...

Ok, its just a pathetic 10 cents coin right? Wrong! Take a closer look. Its a Singapore 10 cents coin minted way back in 1968! Which means that it is a whopping 9 and a half World Cups old! It has seen Neil Armstrong walk on the moon! It was around when Hotel New World collapsed! It was around for both Woodstock! Hell, it was around when the Beatles mop hairstyle was cool, when bell bottoms are the way to go. It was around when the 80s shoulder pad thing was in vogue. Jeez... The list could go on forever.

And now, anyone of you can own a part of history. I'm willing to part with my find for a paltry sum of 300 bucks. Any takers? 300 bucks for a dime? Thats one hell of a bargain!

Alrighty, now its time for me to start looking for that elusive 1964 Singapore minted coin....

Philosophical Mood

Thengz is in a philosophical mood.

Those of you who know me would agree that I like to poke fun at people's differences. Some of you might even call that discrimination, maybe even racism in some cases. I beg to differ. I'm actually no different from you. Especially those of you who go to the zoo and have a cracking time looking at the chimpanzees dig their noses or the hippos sniff each other's butts.

You see, the logic is actually very simple. Most people go to the zoo, they see animals, they get amused. Animals have hair all over their body. Animals walk on their four limbs. Animals have long necks, long noses, long arms, long dicks. Basically, we get amused by animals because they are different.

Its the same for me. I get amused by the Mat sitting in the void deck playing his guitar. I get amused by the Ah Beng who can't pronounce his L's and R's. I get amused by the fat lady who is grumpy all the time. Heck, I'm even amused by the banana who speaks with an American accent. I get amused because they are different from me.

So you see, we're actually not very different. But certainly different enough for me to be amused by you.

W.T.F....

Apparently I'm Ice Man... Ok, now I don't have to worry about not being able to ice skate...

You Are Iceman
You tried to live a normal life, but it just wasn't possibleA bit of a slacker, you rather tell jokes than cultivate your powers
Powers: turning self and others into ice, making ice weapons, becoming nearly invisible

A Better Tomorrow...

Sounds like a pretty depressing blog title huh? Thengz going through some hardship? Some life changing experience? Something difficult that makes him expect a better tomorrow? Nah... Thats just not Spaceman Spiff's style. Hehe...

A Better Tomorrow absolutely kicks ass. Yep, I'm talking about the 80s John Woo/ Chow Yun Fatt shoot 'em up flick. Direct Chinese to English translation would be 'Hero's True Colour'. o_0 Bought the 3 part DVD last weekend, and saw the first part yesterday. Nothing beats old school, slow motion, shoot-shoot, bang-bang action.

Lookie here! I'm jumping across the car with a pistol in one hand and an Uzi in the other. Baddies are shooting at me with their machine guns, but miraculously, not a single bullet hits me and every single one of my shots hit a baddie! I'm Xiao Ma Ge! Who needs Superman??!

Okay, actually that isn't really true, in the end Small Horse Brother got hit by bullets and died. But what the heck, its still a good movie. Think when the first time I caught this, I was probably a wee lad no older than 10. Can't really recall much of the storyline, then again when you're 10, you don't give a shit about storylines, just as long as the bad guys die and the good guys win can liao. Tsk... Tsk... Life as a kid sure is simple... Alrighty, time to be nostalgic/lame here's to A Better Tomorrow...
